Seven children bore by my mother,

Six of them are my brothers.

What kind of body could do that?

I must tip my hat to her.

Beautiful life has been bestowed upon us.

Appreciation to her is a must.

All of her sacrifices amount to more than the grains found

in the spices she uses to cook.

Her vitality has me shook.

Having several generations of these mothers who put feet to concrete.

They do not have to be discreet.

The joy radiates from her when she sees her children and grandchildren

rise above and soar like doves through the clouds of challenges and obstacles are tackled.

Family reunions and cookouts are the pride of my mother.

All the kids running and screaming outside is no bother.

You have fought the battles that we would never have understood, you inspire us 

to be our truest selves if we could.

My mother and grandmothers have raised children and grandchildren, no 

Complaint, all love no constraints.

For the rest of my life, I reciprocate this unconditional love to you!
